Takanini Gurdwara has so far fed 3,500 families with another Food bag distribution happening tomorrow.
So Tomorrow Friday 17th April, we will be distributing Free Food bags to needy families between 4 pm to 6 pm.
Locations: 70 Takanini School Road, Takanini, Auckland
We will serve the wider community of Auckland in this challenging time, by providing a bag of necessary food items. So at least each family can have 2- 3 days of food.
This food bag is not for any specific religion, caste or gender. We welcome everyone. Since the Takanini Gurdwara doors are temporarily closed due to the lockdown. We advise everyone to come to GATE 1 and patiently wait your turn in your car. Our volunteers will ask you to open your car boot and they’ll drop your food bag in the car and ensure it’s locked. Then you may drive your vehicle from GATE 2 as guided by the volunteers.
We’ve added Potatoes, Onions and carrots to the existing food parcels.
